Summit Soapworks

Summit Soapworks Logo
Summit Soapworks is anything but new, however the
Main Street presence of this local company is certainly a new, welcome addition to the community.  Christine Balch started making her own soap 14 years ago because of allergies to the additives in commercial soaps.

Summit Soapworks SoapsChristine learned her trade from a woman in New Hampshire, and has been growing her product line ever since.  About 8 years ago, Summit Soapworks began to retail its products to friends through word of mouth and craft shows.  Things continued to grow, new products were added, and then the website took off.  All of her products are all natural without chemicals or preservatives.

Vermont Crafter's Products
Today, Christine has a shop on
Main Street.  Her full product line of olive oil bar soaps, glycerin soaps, liquid olive oil soaps, lotions, body oils, salts and balms are on display.  There are testers for you to sample the products, and if you are lucky, production will be taking place in the back of the shop.  A shampoo is in its final testing stages, and will be available soon.

Having just tried her fabulous soaps for the first time, I urge you to stop in!  You will also find that soaps aren’t all that's there.  Christine has items on display from several of the craftspeople that she met over the years….painted glassware, knitted items, quilted items, soy candles, and decorative arts as well.
