Black River
Academy Museum
This local gem is often admired
from a distance for its stunning architecture, but not
as often visited for its contents.
Did you know that President Calvin Coolidge was a
member of the class of 1890 of the
Black River Academy?
While this is certainly an important aspect of
the history of the Academy, and certainly something for
Ludlow
to be proud of, there is so much more to learn at the
BRAM, home of the Black River Historical Society.
The Museum is dedicated to the
preservation of the culture of the Black
River area throughout its history.
You will learn about textiles, manufacturing,
farming, floods, inventions, prominent members of the
community and so much more.
If you find yourself with a few moments on your
hands, you won’t be disappointed.
Visit
BRAM's website for more information.
You are welcomed to join them often and become a
member.
